We have taken our sweet time making GOOD products WITHOUT resorting to using marketing claims that sadly, soooo many companies use, in an attempt to sell their products. We DO NOT USE: “free-from” ingredient lists, nourishment claims, not animal tested, vegan, made with love in small batches.
“Free-from” claims are a fear-mongering tactic.
Nourishing is done by eating things, not by plastering it on dead hair or onto skin.
Animal testing is ONLY done on NEW raw ingredients, by raw ingredient producers. It is never done on a finished product, and certainly NOT done by any smaller companies, such as those boldly stating their product(s) have NOT been animal-tested. The claim NOT ANIMAL TESTED should be followed by, “like…duh…” 🤪
Vegan products very often contain ingredients from developing countries which do not have good worker safety regulations or it contains ingredients made by destroying forests to produce a monoculture of the vegan ingredient (such as cetyl alcohol from palm oil or using palm oil itself).
Small batch production? It has nothing to do with love, care, or quality: it just means space is limited. It does NOT add anything other than a high price and a feel-good term to the product.
Many of our products feature local, organic Water Buffalo tallow.
We don’t use petrolatum or mineral oil, because oil companies are rich enough.
Our packaging is not glamourous, as you’d rather spend your money on quality products than a glam jar. Am I right?
Do we use preservatives? You betcha! No one wants to smear cooties on themselves. Golly!
All products are made in Comox, British Columbia, Canada.
